Or the equivalent of Seth
{His New Kindergarten School Picture}
weighing in at approximately 43.3 pounds
Or you could say I've lost 43.3 handfuls of this stuff:
{this is one pound of fat}
There has been so much going on in our lives. We just finished with our semi-annual activity days project. We took on the Daddy Daughter Date and had a really good time. I will try to back post about the lost weeks since Chloe's Baptism. There's been more fishing, more loose teeth, Halloween Parades, Pumpkin Cookies, but most importantly ~ I have managed to continue to loose weight throughout my favorite CANDY season!!! Happy Trick-Or-Treating!!!

Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Davis!!!

Grandma and Grandpa usually invite the family to dinner and then take the birthday girl or boy to Toy's R Us for 2 hours of indecision. This year Chloe decided to forgo the toys for fashion! When we went out for Lunch on the Saturday after her birthday they didn't have her size at the Kohl's we were at. So the next Monday, Dan came home from work with a wrapped gift box and her shoes! For some reason the twinkles went out and we had to go back to Kohl's were they replaced them with the last pair of size one's in the state! Read more...

Inedible???
Monday, October 17, 2011
So last November we got to go to the scout auction with Dan's family and we bid on a quarter side of beef during the silent auction and lost. Then during the live auction we pooled together with Dan's sister Kate and outbid the crown for half a side of beef! This was Last November. Today we got to FINALLY go and pick it up in Hoytsville. It was a beautiful drive and a lovely day but this is the picture I took an will always remember that outside of the butcher shop was these big garbage bins that read: "Kuhni's Inedible"
We have been waiting so long for this meat and are so excited to have the freshest we've ever had! We drove past Park City on the way up but drove home the opposite way and drove past a very full Echo Reservoir ~ but no fishing we had half a cow in the back of the truck!
The butcher said that the meat is very lean and comparible to 9% fat that I buy at the store. We got quite a few chunks of ground beef, some roasts and a number of different cuts of steaks. Can't wait to try them...Chloe found this little whooly bugger when we dropped off Kate and Ben's share ~ so cute☺

My day in the Kitchen

Since starting weight watchers, I haven't made many treats, possibly none at all. (Poor family) I promised Dan I would bake him some of his favorite sugar cookies. So I made the dough last night and let it chill. Rolled it all out between wax paper. Then cut it out into halloween shapes ofbats, ghosts and pumpkins.
While they were cooling, I made six square lasagnas that serve four for the freezer. I don't hate making lasagna but I do think it takes a lot of work and I appreciate it when I can make many in advance!
This sugar cookie recipe is from Dan's Mom, they are so, so good. I don't like to sample while I'm baking, I don't like raw cookie dough of any kind but these sugar cookies. So today I chewed some gum while getting these cookies ready. I was so proud of myself for not tasting even one bit. I made vanilla icing for the orange pumpkins and white ghosts. I also made anise icing for the purple bats.
Sadly I should have tasted the dough because I must have done something wrong... They didn't taste right and even though they were alot of effort, I threw them away. Read more...

New Motor
Thursday, October 13, 2011
Dan took his boat in to be winterized towards the end of the season and he had them check the motor because it was having troubles starting up the first time in higher elevations, sad. They determined that the evinrude motors that year had some defects and replaced it with a brand new motor and 3 more years of warranty. I swear Dan leads a charmed life!!!
Dan caught the smallest fish he's ever reeled in!

I was stopped for a train, counting the cars...
When I saw something strange
Does it jump out at you or am I just crazy?
The bird painted red on these rail way cars reminds me alot of
the Nazi symbols from the Indiana Jones movies.
Don't worry though. This is an emblem for a company in Singapore.
APL has been named Asian Container Shipping Line of the Year.
I think it's a little strange birds are sujectd to such propaganda
Especially eagles and hawks or birds of prey
What country or company for that matter wouldn't
benefit from a little tropical representation?

Do I or Don't I?
Tuesday, October 4, 2011
I had my sleep apnea over night test last night. I got there about eight o'clock, just before it started to rain. The technician took about 45 minutes to hook me up with all of these wires to monitor my brain. I was just relieved that he could locate it!!!
What kind of test can't you study for?
This morning it took the technician about three minutes to take the tangled mess off, but there was still a little bit remaining:I can't believe how rested I felt after just half a night with the oxygen. I brought my Dad's sleep PAP machine and he checked it all out and it will work for me with a simple change of mask size. I rushed home so that Dan could head of to work and am going to go back to bed soon. It took me three times shampooing and two times conditioning to get everything out of my hair. Each little electrode/cord was held in place by white sticky paste! It will take a few weeks before I should hear back from the doctor either confirming or denying I have obstructive sleep apnea... The receptionist and the office manager both went out of town this week at Dan's work. His dad, NOT DAN, asked me to come in and fill in. I am so glad that the week went quickly and that I am a S.A.H.M.

More Celebrations
Saturday, September 24, 2011
Grandpa & Grandma met us for lunch to celebrate Chloe's birthday. She loves spending time with them and simply adores their attention!
Afterwards we met at Kohl's to search out some twinkle toe shoes. Seth used his pretend magic wand and 'Alohamora' spell to open the doors for us, after he found a penny in the parking lot. Celebration #2!
On our way home we drove past Tom and Jenn's and witnessed a miracle and the biggest celebration of the day, lawn!!! This poor yard has been barren for over 12 years and I think all of the neighborhood cheered today. Celebration #3.

Chloe's Day
Friday, September 23, 2011
I let her sleep in a bit in the morning, she went to school with her lunch packed with a special birthday note and a Hershey bar (her favorite). As soon as I got Seth on the bus, I rushed to the grocery store to pick up a few more laffy taffys for her classroom treat for her to share. I made the cutest note on them. It said:
I went into her classroom with a balloon for a surprise and to scrapbook with the class. She rode her bike to school so Seth and I drove home at the end of the school day. She was so excited when she saw the 8 balloons with her presents. We watched her open them up and started to play the wii Glee Karaoke game that was her favorite.

We took her out to dinner, her choice.
Can you imagine going to Subway for a sandwich of turkey on a bun?
Maybe this cookie helped her make her decision...
Seth loves 'See Food'
We went to Boondocks for a game of miniature golf:
and a ride on the Bumper Boats:
Chloe and Seth were so excited that they could drive their own boat. Seth was so excited that it came with a shooter that could squirt every one! Including Me!!!
Dan kept squirting me and made it look like I had wet my pants!
When we got home we served up brownies and ice cream:
We planned to watch Rio in 3D but had to wait while the electrician in our family hooked everything up... While we waited we put together this puzzle of Chloe:This is a puzzle called Ji Ga Zo. You upload your own picture and it gives you the puzzle map to make any picture, I can't wait to make the next one! She had a great day and is so excited to get baptized!
