Ladies and Gentlemen, Start Your Engines! 

 Front Row:  We can wear out a pair of jeans in 2 months!

Middle Row:  We can wear out a scout shirt in 2 weeks!

Third Row:  Oh year!  We can wear out a scout leader in 2 days!!!

 After some awards and skits the mayhem began:

 He took 2nd place multiple times:

 Every racer got to race in each lane:

 6 lanes = 6 races

 Spectators:

 Handing over the cars to the track master (yes we had a Sheriff there):

 We take things very seriously in our Ward!!!

 Lots of knocking over the short spectators to race to the end of the track:

Finishing up the final touches on the car about two hours before the race started was a little nerve wracking for Dan, but he handled it like a pro.  After some minor adjustments because it kept pulling to the left, we talked about how we were going to act before, during and after the race.

Mom:  Will there be any crying or stomping, Seth?
Seth:  No, Mom!
Mom:  Will there be any crying or stomping, Dan?

Mom:  What could you say if someone beats your car?
Seth:  I don't know...
Mom:  Wow, your car is really fast!

Mom:  What could you say if your car beats someone elses?
Seth:  I don't know...
Mom:  Maybe, Your car looks cool!

Dan:  If his car goes so fast and it jumps the track and the wheels fly off, we're leaving!

All four plastic tires stayed on but I could just see Dan's wheels spinning in plans for next years car!
