Mantua in the Morning

Monday, July 25, 2011

Man did these kids have fun fishing at 5 AM this morning.  Hannah came home with us after the pool party and when Dan asked her what she would like to do this weekend, he suggested fishing.  The rest of us have been accompanying him to Willard all summer and weren't as excited.  Hannah was so enthusiastic about catching her very first fish...  Very smartly, we avoided the crowds and went a little further north to Mantua and there wasn't a line in the water that wasn't being nibbled upon.  Dan was taking fish off of the hooks of the kids so often that his line would show signs of a bite but he would miss it because there was a line up of short people waiting to have their fish removed from their lucky hooks!  We lost count but Hannah probably caught the most Blue Gill fish, maybe close to 30 of them!!!
