Personal Bests

Sunday, October 3, 2021

The boys just got home from Bear Lake with some crazy lasting memories.  Seth caught his personal best, a 12.2 pound Lake Trout:

Then while they were at the Garden City Pond, Dan noticed something moving towards Seth. He hooked this Meek Rat by the foot but wouldn't hold it up for a picture:

Dan also caught his first Sculpin. But I think it looks more like a gremlin!

These boys made their Grandpa proud:
Those are his pants falling down!!!
They got a little sun but even better they got a little action:
That's right, I missed this fisher man:
 A LOT:
If you wondered where he got these weird habits:

Dan's Fishing Trip at Ole's

Wednesday, July 30, 2014

Dan's Grandpa is so awesome!  He keeps telling us he is getting old, but I have proof that he can keep up with the rest of the boys:
He caught the 2nd biggest fish for all of the fisherman that week:
Dan was taking the picture and told him that it would just take a little effort to make his fish the biggest:

Dan's Fishing Trip at Ole's

Here are some random picture that I need to get the full story from Dan,

Dan's Fishing Trip at Ole's

Got the message that they had landed safely but there was a story to be shared.  This is what Dan's Brother had to say:  After being profiled by the Canadian border patrol. I had my luggage thoroughly searched, phone and brothers phone searched, was repeatedly threatened with a strip search and threatened with being detained just to ruin my fishing trip with my Grandpa, Dad, and brother. The D-bag ended up letting me through.

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Bry saved me and my fingertips when he joined Dan out on the boat in the freezing cold.  Seth went with them on Saturday but they had to cut their morning short when he persistently reminded them how cold he was!!!  They went back out that afternoon and then again today and it was all worth it.  This is the biggest fish I have ever seen this handsome man heft!!!
 Just a couple of monsters!!!

New Motor

Thursday, October 13, 2011

Dan took his boat in to be winterized towards the end of the season and he had them check the motor because it was having troubles starting up the first time in higher elevations, sad.   They determined that the evinrude motors that year had some defects and replaced it with a brand new motor and 3 more years of warranty.  I swear Dan leads a charmed life!!!
Dan caught the smallest fish he's ever reeled in!
